Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy uses sound waves to stimulate parts of the body. The energy created by the pressure waves affects the tissues by increasing microcirculation and increasing metabolic activity.

Shockwave therapy can be used to successfully treat many conditions, such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, patellar tendinopathy, calcific tendinitis, epicondylagia, trigger points, and achilles tendinopathy.

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound therapy is used to speed up recovery by providing pain relief and decreasing swelling.

Sound waves cause vibration in the tissue cells, which in turn help to improve nutrient flow and facilitate fluid movement.

Therapeutic Taping

Taping can be used for pain relief, to unload muscle and nerve tissue, and to improve joint stability.

Taping may be used in a variety of situations, in both the athletic and general population. We often use a variety of taping techniques as a part of a client’s treatment.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy, and more specifically, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), is a modality used to help modulate pain.

We typically combine the use of TENS with cryotherapy or thermotherapy to decrease the pain response.
